Front end Web Dev

Your technical profile:
* 2+ years of deep JavaScript software development experience
* 3+ years of web development in PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.
* Active experience with DHTML, CSS
* Strong experience with web application techniques like AJAX
* Familiarity with web frameworks like CakePHP, Pylons, Rails, etc.
* Amazing debugging skills, Firebug is your friend
* Willingness to write tests (unit and functional), even if you don’t want to
* BS in Computer Science or similar experience

Turning the page...

This is with complete delight that I've accepted to join the Mozilla Corporation. In other words, my time at MindSource is resolutely over and this is now time to start a new chapter in my career.
I've learned some valuable lessons over the past year, but I owe a lot to Songbird. Indeed, Songbird allowed me to get more involved within the Mozilla Community and even meet some amazing people!

Songbird needs QA Engineers!!!! (Lead and Sr. levels)

Songbird - a fast-paced Internet music software start-up based in San Francisco - is currently looking for QA Engineers (Lead and Sr. levels).
With now 20 employees on board, they have an immediate need for bright QA Engineers to join their cozy nest in SF.

Songbird needs Sr. levels QA Engineers who have had experience testing Web and desktop applications. Hence, you need an overall understanding of the functionality of browsers and web technology.

OS - Windows, Linux, OS X

Ability to write test plans, test cases, bug reports, as well as create test procedures.

Scripting languages - No specific preference as long as you can write scripts (Python, Perl, Unix Shell,...).

Strong experience automating user test cases with GUI capture/reply tools and scripting tools.

As the Lead QA / Sr. QA, you will have the opportunity to select the most appropriate third party testing tools. Also, you will be in charge to recruit, train, and manage other testers that will join your team later on (in the coming few months).

Various UI positions...

Are you looking for a new UI opportunity? Well, you're in luck as I have 4 clients looking for UI Designers. Below is a short description for each of the positions. These are salaried full-time positions.

JOB #1: Front-end Web Developer

Location: San Francisco

Skills needed: CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, AJAX

Your role: You will be involved with all the phases of front-end development for my client’s website, from UI through page coding. You will work closely with the Designer and User Experience team to define, implement and refine features. You will have complete ownership of the page code and style sheets. You will also participate in the creation of UI elements for the desktop application using similar Web technologies.

JOB #2: UI Designer
Location: Mountain View
Skills needed: HCI, UI, mock-ups and prototypes experience, professional experience with successfully shipped products.

Your role: Work with engineering teams to design features for a next gen. web browser, providing mock-ups and interaction flows and input on bugs marked UI-wanted. Frequently review in-development builds and file bugs on user interface design issues, then drive them through to resolution.

JOB #3: UI/UX Designer
Location: San Jose
Skills needed: Flash, HTML, mobile applications

Your role: The UI/UX designer will lead the charge to develop the user interface for my client’s mobile web experience. He/she will work closely with engineering, product development and marketing to rapidly investigate and analyze requirements, analyze and diagram user profiles and workflows, develop the UI paradigm -- and offer highly usable interface solutions. The candidate will be decidedly versatile, creative, have a passion for user-centric design and be a strong communicator. Excellent collaboration skills are a must.


JOB #4: UI Windows Developer
Location: San Jose
Skills needed: C/C++, COM/DCOM/RPC/ActiveX technologies, Object Oriented Systems

Your role: We are looking for an exceptional Windows software engineer to join our client's SSL VPN client development team, developing C and C++ services, extensions, applications, and drivers for their SSL VPN product. This is an opportunity to work on a wide-range of Windows components to create cutting-edge SSL VPN connectivity, end-point security, and virtualization solutions.

Community Evangelist

Hi all,

What's a better way to recruit a Community Evangelist than actually posting the job description on my blog?
With that being said, I have an amazing client in San Francisco looking for a Community Ambassador, Evangelist, Advocate, or however you would like to call it...! =)
